Zhiyuan Tang, a collaborative PhD student from Chengdu CAS, was recently awarded by National Prize. His working area is application of deep neural networks to various fields of speech signal processing, including speech recognition, speaker recognition and language recognition. Dr. Tang has published neumorous papers on top journals and conferences, and has lead the CSLT speech team with a great success. More information about Dr. Tang can be found in his homepage.
Lantian Li, a PhD student of the lab, was awarded by 'Sohu-Tsinghua prize' recently. This award was presented to students in the CS department of Tsinghua university who have achieved distingiushed performance in research, and the amount of the prize is tens of thousands. Dr. Li has worked in speaker recognition and the related subjects for couple of years and published more than academic 50 papers. Before this award, he had been awarded by 'Excellent Student of RIIT'. More information can be found in his homepage.
